Meet the Team: Brie
It's been a very long time since I did one of these "Meet the Team" blog posts, but I have several amazing new people to introduce to you - so it's about time! Brie and I actually met on Twitter while talking about the Sounders, and bonded over our shared love for printmaking. When they moved from Eastern WA to the Seattle area, it was a no brainer to bring them onto the team! I asked Brie our traditional questions, and this is what they had to say:
Q: Describe yourself in 6 words or less.
Miles to go before I sleep. (It's from "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" by Robert Frost)
Q: What is your favorite thing about working at Constellation & Co.?
The atmosphere. The shop is such a positive space for me--I love walking out on the docks before work in the mornings and then coming in to greet Atticus and start the day. I always have so much fun chatting with coworkers (Brooke and Chelsa are truly incredible human beings) and enjoy the variety of people that come in the store!
Q: What are you doing when you're not in the shop? (Other jobs, hobbies, etc.)
Right now I'm taking my last few classes I need to fulfill my degree from Whitman College, where I'm getting a degree in printmaking. I'm new to the presses in the shop, but I spend a lot of my time away from work at my desk working on linoleum carvings and setting up my own little printing space at home. All that keeps me pretty busy, but I'm always free to watch some soccer! My main other hobbies are cooking, cross-stitching, and refilling birdfeeders (We have a lot of birds come to our yard).
Q: What is your favorite place in Seattle? (Shops, restaurants, parks, etc.)
The Elysian Bar on 2nd Ave. I always seem to end up there on my favorite days in town, whether it's after PAX West or before a Sounders game. Plus, they have some of my favorite beers in the world!
