Elevated Envelope

by Sara McNally | August 22nd, 2011

Tara, a local letterpress printer and owner of Ephemera, put together a super fun envelope exchange called “The Elevated Envelope.” The theme was “summer,” and the envelopes had to be mostly handmade and definitely creative. We decided to join in the fun, and signed up (before the giant move fiasco came to be). With all that’s going on, the deadline snuck up on me (why does this always happen to the fun stuff!?), so we put together a pretty restrained envelope. Had I more time,  it would have been much more elaborate – but instead of what i’d initially planned, I went with a theme that is the the theme of my life lately… Summer Time Flies! (And hey, sometimes restraint isn’t a bad thing.)

I made some extra envelopes – so as this one says, I’d love to send one to you! E-mail your address to hello AT constellationco DOT com, and i’ll stick one in the mail for you. (Only the first 3 responses will receive one – so don’t dawdle!)

Time’s a-wasting!

The interior piece was sent out with a story about our summer. We’re nailing down a few more details, but we’ll have the story in full to share on the blog soon.

I hope your summer is going well. Summers never seem long enough here in Seattle. They are beautiful, then gone. Thanks to Tara for putting together the exchange! I’ve been really enjoying receiving the envelopes in the mail. I’ll photograph and share my favorites here soon.
